Community Guidelines

Code of conduct

 

While posting a task! 

Do not share your personal contact information in the task (email, phone number, social links).

If a personal information is shared, your post will be automatically deleted and the account shall be suspended.

Why do we do this?

In order to prevent spammers to contact you directly or indirectly, it is essential

that the contact information should not be publicly seen in the task.

If you want to accept the offer from a Buddy!

Do not communicate with anyone externally through other mediums than our internal messaging area.

After adding your credit card details to your profile you can accept the offer.

Why should you do it?

When you accept the offer the money get securely submitted through Stripe and will not be sent to the Buddy until the task is completed. 

While meeting the Buddy!

Always ask for the valid identity card form the Buddy before the task starts. Check whether it is the right person who was assigned the task.

Why should you verify the identity of the Buddy?

For safety and security reasons, it is very important to start the conversation after verifying the identity.

After the task!

Rate and complete the task

Once the task is completed, rate your experience on the platform and click the finish button in your dashboard.

Why should you do this?

Rating is a reflection of credibility of the Buddy. If your Buddy is awesome at the task, just spread the word to other users who could be benefitted. At the same time, only if the task is marked as complete, the Buddy will be paid through the platform.

If you suspect any user or a Buddy has violated any Community Guidelines, please report it to MyHelpBuddy via hello@167.71.51.11.This document will continue to change as we grow and continue to think about what’s best for the

MyHelpBuddy community.

 

MyHelpBuddy takes breaches of the Community Guidelines seriously. If our team receives reports that you have breaches any of the Guidelines below, we may take action to remove any content, posted task or offer you have submitted on MyHelpBuddy or cancel or suspend your account and/or any task contracts.

 

Posting guidelines

 

To create a safe, respectful and rewarding environment, we need you to follow the guidelines below:

1. Tasks must be legal

2. No escort or adult services

3. Clear scope, time and budget required

4. Task based posts

5. No advertising

6. No sharing of email, phone numbers or any contact information in the post.

7. No external communication is recommended. Please use the internal messaging feature in the workplace

1. Private information

To maintain the integrity and authenticity of MyHelpBuddy, our members can only share private contact information once an offer is accepted via private messages. To protect your safety and security, disclosure of private contact details or 3rd party links are not allowed to be shared in any public areas of the site including any comments and attachments. This includes, but is not limited to business websites, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, personal emails, phone

numbers, addresses or personal websites. This is for the purpose of your safety and privacy and to prevent spam.

 

2. Unacceptable behaviours

On MyHelpBuddy, we do not tolerate the following negative behaviours against other members of the MyHelpBuddy Community or MyHelpBuddy Staff:

2.1 Hatred or violence

2.2 Discrimination

2.3 Harassment

2.4 Illegal behaviours

2.5 Trolling

 

3. Unsupported practices

On MyHelpBuddy, we’re committed to bringing communities together however this requires your support and cooperation. We do not support the following activities within our MyHelpBuddy community, as it jeopardises the creation of a fair, transparent and trustworthy environment:

3.1 Fraudulent MyHelpBuddy reviews

3.2 Artificially improving public profile

3.3 Discussion forum

3.4 Harvesting member information

3.5 Lead generation

3.6 Posting spam tasks

 

4. Pricing and payments

To ensure a safe and rewarding environment for all members of the MyHelpBuddy community, it’s important to understand how pricing and payments work.

4.1 No partial payments

Any offers made on your task should be for the full scope of the task. When you accept an offer,

that is the final amount that you’re obligated to pay and there are no additional fees. Tasks

offering partial payment, including sales and commission based tasks, are not permitted and will

be moderated and/or removed.

4.2 MyHelpBuddy Payment Account

Cash payments are allowed for a limited period of time. When exchanging, please afterwards, when an offer is accepted you will need to add funds to the task, which are securely held in an MyHelpBuddy payment account until the task is completed. The MyHelpBuddy payment account ensures your funds are held safely until the task is finalised.

4.3 Accurate banking details

To provide seamless transaction of funds to your Buddy, please ensure your credit or debit cards details are valid and up to date in your Payment Settings.

4.4 Payment with VISA or Mastercard

All tasks must be remunerated via credit or debit Mastercard or VISA card.

 

5. Accountability for task outcomes

When you accept a Buddy’s offer on your task, you and the Buddy remain accountable for your

behaviour on the MyHelpBuddy platform and the outcome of the task.

Your responsibilities include:

5.1.The experience you provide for other members

Posters must not repetitively provide poor experiences for other members of the MyHelpBuddy

Community.

We remind you that where MyHelpBuddy receives reports that you have breached any of these

Guidelines, we may take action to remove any content, or cancel or suspend your account and/or any task contracts.

 

6. Account eligibility

We know you’re eager to set up an account and get started on MyHelpBuddy, but we need you to make sure you qualify for the below:

6.1 18 years or older

All members of the MyHelpBuddy community must be 18 years or older. This is a legal requirement as people under the age of 18 are not able to enter a legal contract with MyHelpBuddy. MyHelpBuddy reserves the right to request proof of age should this be necessary.

 

7. Account administration

Now that you understand a little more about MyHelpBuddy, we have some important information

regarding accounts.

7.1 No account transfers

Your account is your responsibility and you must maintain control of it. It must not be transferred

to another person as your account and reviews reflect your skills and abilities.

7.2 No duplicate accounts

Members may only have a single, active account on the platform. As your account reflects your

reputation in the marketplace and represents your skills and abilities, any duplicate accounts

attempting to disguise a member’s history, will be removed immediately. This means that all

content posted by additional accounts will be removed and any associated task contracts will be

cancelled.

7.3 Cooperating with other members for the MyHelpBuddy community and MyHelpBuddy staff

Where members of the MyHelpBuddy Community or MyHelpBuddy Staff reach out to request information, both Posters and Buddies are required to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

 

8. Identity on MyHelpBuddy

MyHelpBuddy is committed to building a community platform that is a positive and safe environment for all. This commitment is grounded in the principles of transparency and respect. To help foster trust in the community, all members are required to have a profile photo and name that accurately identifies them.

Fake/ miscellaneous photos & names are not permitted on the MyHelpBuddy platform. Members that do not have an accurate profile photo or name that meets MyHelpBuddy standards will be asked to change their details.

8.1 Name

Your real name as confirmed by your identification documents (passport, drivers licence etc).

8.2 Profile photo

A clear front-on profile photo of a members face, so it’s easy recognisable other members.

While posting an offer!

Connect your payment account with Stripe. For more details, check the link: https://myhelpbuddy.com/payment-integration

Once this process is completed you can share your first offer.

Keep in mind!

Do not share your personal contact information in the offer (email, phone number, social links, etc). If a personal information is shared, your post will be automatically deleted and the account shall be suspended. Furthermore, bypassing the platform will also lead to legal consequences and a penalty as mentioned in our terms of service.

After the offer is accepted by the user!

Do not communicate with anyone externally through other mediums than our internal

messaging area.

Why should you avoid it?

We have created an internal messaging feature exclusively for every task. It is known as “Workspace” and could be found in every project page once the user accepts your offer. In case of any disputes after the task we can only help you if you have communicated on the platform.

While meeting the User!

Always ask for the valid identity card form the user before the task starts. Check whether it is the right person who was assigned the task. Also, show your identity card to the user in order to ensure that the user is also meeting the right person.

Why should you verify the identity of the user?

For safety and security reasons, it is very important to start the conversation after verifying the identity.

After the task!

Money transfer

After the task is completed, remind the user to click the ‘finish’ button and rate the task. The money will be transferred automatically to you once the rating is done. Ensure that you have verified your Stripe account with the valid ID card for payouts. Please follow the legal method of invoicing, contract and tax declaration.

Rate and Complete the task

Once the task is completed, rate your experience in the platform and complete the open task in your profile.

Tax declarations/Gewerbeanmeldung

If you are a Buddy, you have to take care of official registrations (as freelancer or commerical entity) and also report for tax returns. You can find more information about it here: https://service.berlin.de/dienstleistung/121921/en/

Fulfilment of tasks

Buddies are expected to provide the services as agreed with the user.

5.2 Managing other Buddies involved

The Buddy assigned to the task is responsible for the actions of any Buddies they arrange to assist them in providing the services agreed with the Poster. If the Buddy assigned chooses to

subcontract others to perform the services agreed with the Poster, the Buddy must gain the

Poster’s consent. The Buddy assigned to the task must also ensure that all Buddies assisting them have an MyHelpBuddy user account.

For tasks completed in-person, you must attend to check that the task requirements are met even if you requested other Buddies to assist with the task.

5.3 The experience you provide for other members

Buddies must not repetitively provide poor experiences for other members of the AirBuddy

Community. We remind you that where MyHelpBuddyBuddy receives reports that you have breached any of these

Guidelines, we may take action to remove any content, or cancel or suspend your account and/or any task contracts.

5. Accountability for task outcomes

When you accept a Buddy’s offer on your task, you and the Buddy remain accountable for your

FAQs for disputes

How can I dispute if the task was done as agreed?
If you are a user and if you would like to send us a dispute, you can select the option called 'Close' in the task workspace and then provide the reason for the dispute If you are a Buddy, you can select the option 'Discontinue' from the task workspace and provide the reason for dispute
What happens after I dispute?
After you send us the reason for the dispute, we will communicate with both the user and the Buddy to understand the issue and finally choose the refund amount or further process. Once the dispute is complete the money will be refunded automatically.
When can I not dispute?
Dispute option is possible only if the entire communication between the user and the Buddy was happened through the platfrom workspace. If someone bypasses the platform at any step, the task is not eligible for the dispute
How much refund will I get?
As per our terms and conditions, the platfoRm decides the settlement amount based on the information provided by the user and the Buddy. In case of partial completion of work, then the service fee (20%) will be deducted before transferring the amount to the Buddy
