Verdi has called a strike on 15.02. at BVG – Berlin Transportation which will affect busses, trams and the U-Bahn.

The strike on Friday, 15.02.2019 will not affect S-Bahn transportation. The strike starts early in the morning (3.30 am) and might continue until 12 pm noon.

The strike aims at negotiations with respect to working hours and Christmas bonus to employees of BVG and subsidiaries.

• Plan your day well in advance

• For those who are working, try to commute via S-Bahn or car sharing services in the morning. You can be sure that the S-Bahns will be overcrowded

• Sometimes transportation apps like the DB Navigator might not show the updated travel information based on the strike. If an information sheet is kept at every station with updated information, please make sure to have a look at it

• Be aware that you could also expect delays for several hours after the strike is over
